EVE Insider will get into the nitty gritty belonging for the brand new ally system

In a never-ending work to facilitate the distribute of war and destruction, the excellent people at CCP have cooked up an Ally System for EVE Isk Online's upcoming Inferno expansion -- a system which will allow game fanatics to put their services on hire or discover a buddy to sign up for them in a war. In a dev diary update today, the system was brought out into the gentle and displayed in detail.

Wars you're engaged in will show up inside Our Wars tab (under the Wars tab, below the institution tab within your Neocom), as will any wars that you're an ally in. If you're a CEO or Director, you can list yourself as available For Allies and decide whether or not to accept provides for help -- which it is best to expect, naturally, to arrive at a price. Negotiation of costs may be carried out via normal relationship channels, since the existing UI allows you only to accept or decline the offer.

If trouble hasn't discovered you and you need to spice issues up, the All Wars tab may be the place for you: It's a list of, well, all active wars, with information like who's asking for an ally and wars with 1 or even more allies. By default, the list shows the fifty most recent wars, but it's also searchable by corporation/alliance. There's an "Assitance requests only" box that you simply can check to speed up the sword-selling process. Once you've produced an offer, possibly done some negotiating, and been accepted, you'll be counted as an ally, although you'll have to wait around 24 hours to begin fighting.

The target with this system is to provide more choices to defenders, introduce some chance for attackers, and provide methods for mercenaries to help themselves. There's a complete list of extra rules and explanation over on the blog proper, so make sure to check it out.
